We went camping Friday night. I wasn't as organized as I would have liked to have been and we had to drive up Green Canyon in the dark to find the campsite that my sister and her husband had picked out earlier in the day. We had tinfoil dinners (chicken for Mike, beef for me) and cooked apple/pear crisp, but it was late when that was done so we saved it for breakfast. I took several photographs to make a panorama view of where we were camping.

TAG...we're it! And not in a good way. Some eejit(s) got up on the rooftops of the buildings on our block here in pristine "historic downtown Logan" and defaces all our buildings with graffiti. They also tagged more convenient locations like the walls in the alley and the back doors of the Indian restaurant. It looks like they even climbed the fire escape ladder on the Harris building and tagged that high wall.

Am I pissed that someone felt it was their right to devalue someone else's proptery without permission? Yes! But what I find funny in this whole situation is that...IT'S FREAKING LOGAN YOU NUMBNUTS!!! This is happy freaking valley, not Compton, not East LA, not alphabet city...who are you trying to impress or intimidate. All you did is annoy some business owners who actually CONTRIBUTE to the community and local economy, so that you have a nice place to live. And now because you wanted to be a hot-shot dipstick, some other poor wankers in Juvie have to come and scrub your crap off of buildings and it will be gone by next week. GET OVER YOURSELF!!!

Will this mystery graffiti "artist" (psst, it wasn't even mediocre graffiti, get some style and talent you hack!) ever read this blog? Doubtful. Will they ever be caught. Doubtful? Do I hope if they are in a gang they get a "cap in their ass"? Definitely!

Saturday night we went to dinner and a movie with Sandee and Christine after their hard day evaluating breeding stock at an arabian horse farm.

I look so knackered in this photo.
Saturday was "Family Day" at drill this past weekend. I went down with Mike and got signed up to be a part of the Key Volunteer system and the "walk to Iraq" fitness program. I'm glad I went but it was fairly boring. Took some bad photos...

This last one was like where's Waldo, trying to figure out which one Mike was. Guess that means the camoflage is working, right?

Also found this video of my friend Lynn and her dog Stella. If we tried this with Molly she would run and hide.

I noticed I haven't been taking any photos lately or posting any pics. Very very boring blog. Sorry. So I jacked these photos from my sister's blog. I found a kids garden project where you plant sunflower to make a playhouse. The old blog is somewhere way back in the archives. (update: you can find it here) Anyway the sunflowers have grown...and GROWN and are now about 10 feet tall. Here are some photos of the playhouse...

ACK! The best darn receptionist we've ever had here at the title company is moving away in October. Amy has been amazing and we don't want her to go, but we understand.

Now we are looking for her replacement. If you know anyone who is a fast learner, hard working, friendly/outgoing, and who wants a full time job (8am-5pm) with good benefits...have them bring in a resume to our office.

"Keep a spare set of work clothes at the office, and make repeated 'wardrobe changes' throughout the day until someone remarks about it. Or try wearing the same set of clothes for the first hour every morning until someone notices."

Ok so its been a while since I posted. Things have been crazy busy since July, lots of birthdays and events and appointments and stuff. Mike's eye surgery went well and he's going back for a check up after he gets back from drill this month.

If the lousy weather we had this past weekend wasn't enough to ruin our plans, I FUBARed the long holiday weekend by trying to slice my right thumb off while cutting potatoes. Everything is ok, I just look like the world's weirdest hitchhiker for a couple days. Don't expect and handwritten notes in the near future.

Family birthdays this month: Elysa on the 7th, Kyla the 19th, and the 23rd Sara. Plus my friend Patience's birthday on the 8th. My friend Teena's baby shower is going to be this Friday at 6pm in Salt Lake so that's my big plan for this weekend. On Sunday my sister in law plans on having the blessing for her baby Rylee...I really need to find out where their church is and what time we need to be there.

My parents have decided to become jet setters. Later this month they are taking a couple weeks off to go to Europe. Jim and Sara, Rob, and Heather and Don will be going with them. They are planning stops in Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. I am vera vera jealous but hope they have a fabulous time in dumb old europe.
