Sunday

Sunday we babysat my brother's kids for a couple hours while he went to pick up his wife from her scuba dive test. The baby, Elayna, kept trying to ride molly and talk to the chinchillas. Gretchyn played for hours with a spyrograph set we get from the DI. Cardon spent the whole time watching movies and playing with Mike's Mr. Potatohead set. And Mike taught Walter how to play Age of Empires on the computer and we didn't see him downstairs until his parents came to pick him up.

I made Beouf Bourgingon and the kids loved it, suprisingly. For dessert we made deep fried tempura bananas and served them with vanilla ice cream.

Saturday

So its saturday and I want to avoid cleaning the house, what to do...

I want to bake bread, but the oven is broken. So I'm going to make the dough here and then bake the loaves either in my sister's oven or my mom's oven (whoever is home or left their door unlocked is the lucky recipient of my company and bread). I think I want to do a rustic garlic bread filled with grilled diced onions and cheddar cheese, or maybe spinach and feta.

It it turns out, photos will be posted here.

Caden

This is my sister's son Caden (I stole these photos from her blog), he is so stinking cute I can't stand it.

Friday - Halloween

Friday I dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood and put a nightgown on Molly and made her be my big bad wolf dressed up as grandma.

I took her to work and the little kids that came trick-or-treating downtown LOVED her! Several of the kids were more interested in my dog than the toys and candy we were giving out. I didn't get a photo of my costume, but here are the photos of the other folks who dressed up in our Logan and Layton offices (South Jordan and Jackson were lame and didn't dress up).

I left work a little early to go to my mom's annual family halloween party. My aunts and uncles and their kids and their kids kids all come. The little kids play games in the car barn and get treats, that way if their parents don't want them trick-or-treating they have had their fun and their candy. I helped my aunt and my cousins make navajo tacos so I couldn't take any photo, I got this from my sister.

I also jacked these photos from my little sister's blog, if the rest of my family had blogs I'd steal photos of their kids and post them on mine too, but they don't (hint hint).

95% of my sister's gypsy costume came from my closet and I'm trying desperately not to be annoyed that she looks tall and skinny and all the clothes actually fit her. I've popped buttons off the blouse she is wearing and it is actually LOOSE on her. *sigh* oh well.

Thursday

Last Thursday my sister and I took her kids and my brother's 3 oldest kids to the L'il Goblins haunted house at the Boys and Girls Club of Cache Valley. Our tour guide through the spook alley was dressed like Abby from NCIS.

The weekend update

This last Friday was Halloween, in case the fact escaped you. Thursday night My sister and I took her kids and our brother's kids to a L'il Goblins haunted house at the boys and girls club of Logan. Our guide through the spook alley was dressed as Abbey from NCIS and I loved her costume.

I dressed as little red riding hood and I put molly in a nightgown and she went as the big bad wolf dressed as grandma. Most of our office hours on Friday passing out toys and candy to the trick-or-treaters that come downtown. Molly was a hit, several kids ignored the candy and went straight for the dog, and Molly loved the attention. I didn't get any photos of me, but I did get one of Molly. We also have photos of the closing side of our office dressed up like the crew from Gilligan's Island, and we have photos of the costumes from our Layton office. South Jordan and Jackson were lame and didn't dress up.

My mom hosted her annual Halloween party for our extended family. All my cousins' kids can come and play games out in the car barn and get candy if they don't want to go trick-or-treating, and the grownups get a chance to visit. I jacked this photo from my sister's blog, I was busy helping my aunt and my cousins make Navajo tacos and didn't take any photos.

And I also stole these photos of my sister's kids from her blog. I'd post photos of my other nieces and nephews if their parents had blogs too (hint hint).

90% of my sister's gypsy costume in that photo came out of my closet, she looked good and I'm annoyed because I can't fit into any of it any more.
