Pounding The Pavement To End Polio
Join Cache Valley Morning Rotary on Saturday, April 23, at the Logan High School track for "Pounding the Pavement to End Polio". The Rotary will be holding several races ranging from one to 10 miles. Polio immunizations will cost $0.63. Pledge any dollar amount, be a runner or pick a runner and help save kids lives. Ten dollars will immunize 15 kids from Polio. 2Cure Cancer Fun Run
The John K. Cannon Squadron is hosting the 2Cure Cancer event, which includes a 5k Walk/Run and 20k Bike Tour to benefit the Logan Regional Hospital Cancer Center on Saturday April 23, 2011. Check-in begins at 8:30am and the event starts at 10:00 am. Participants can register online for $15 until April 20. Starting April 21 participants will register for $20 on the website or at the venue the day of the event. The venue is located at 400 East 1550 North in North Logan behind Lee’s Marketplace. Pistol Shooting Match
The Cache Practical Shooters (CAPS) will hold its monthly pistol match Saturday, April 23, at 9am at the Cache Valley Public Shooting Range, three miles west of Logan on the Valley View Highway. The match will consist of six stages, including a USPSA Classifier. Approximately 150 round of ammunition are required. Minimum caliber is 9mm. Luger. A required, new shooter orientation class will begin at 7:45am and join the match at 9am. The match is free to first-time shooters or shooters who have not shot with us previously. The HURD Bowl

Saturdays At The Museum - Girl Scout Day
April 23rd is Girl Scout Day at the USU Anthropology Museum - REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! The Museum of Anthropology is pleased to support the Girl Scouts of America once again with our Girl Scout merit badge event. We'll take the girls through all the requirements for the Archaeology merit badge through the course of the day's activities. Registration is $5 and includes all the activities for the day and lunch for both the leaders and the girls. With security breaches and identity theft cases frequently in the news, we want to help prevent your worries of becoming an identity theft victim. Come shred your old documents (bills, unwanted mail, old tax returns, etc) at the first annual Shred-A-Thon. In exchange for a donation of cash or office supplies towards "Child Family Support Center". There will be a shredder for your disposal on April 23rd at Sam's Club, 145 West Cache Valley Blvd., from 11am-3pm. There will be a BBQ and children's activities as well.
