Service projects and activities highlight A Week at USU
By Cache Valley Daily

The Utah State University blue light atop Old Main will light the sky Monday night to honor A-Week 2011. The Utah State Alumni Association hosts A-Week each year and students are invited to participate in several service projects and activities during the week.

The first-ever chariot race is being held Monday starting at 7 p.m. on 800 East by the USU HPER Field. 800 East will be closed between 700 and 800 North from 4 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. for safety reasons. Additionally, no vehicles will be able to park in the area Monday.

The first True Aggie Night of the week will take place on the Block A of the Quad at midnight. Earlier in the day, service-minded students will tie blankets with the Physician Assistant Club in the Taggart Student Lounge from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. A Service Blitz/Random Acts of Kindness event starts at 5 p.m. in the Taggart Student Center Juniper Lounge.
