KA-POW! GRAPHIC NOVEL EXHIBITION
The Merrill-Cazier Library is presenting Ka-pow! Graphic Novels, an exhibition on graphic novels used in academia. It will be shown in the atrium of the Merrill-Cazier Library from Oct. 24 through Dec. 10. A formal opening reception is Thursday, Nov. 10, at 4 p.m. in room 101 of the Library where several USU professors will discuss the use of graphic novels in their current classroom curriculum. STARTING SMALL ART EXHIBIT
Collected by old and new, 'Starting Small' showcases USU student collections curated by current students. The exhibit illustrates the diversity of art and its collection through the eyes of independent students. Four Utah State students, Trissta Lyman, Megan Mitchell, Brady Mathews and Megan Evans, are curating the exhibit and gathering artwork from other student’s private collections. An opening reception will be held Nov. 11 from 5-7 p.m. in the Tippetts Exhibit Hall. The exhibit runs Nov. 7 - Dec. 1 from 9am to 5pm. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

MARION HYDE EXHIBITION
Stop by and view the Marion Hyde Exhibit in the Tippetts Exhibit Hall, Chase Fine Arts Center, on the USU Campus. Exhibit runs from 11/05/2011 to 12/01/2011 open 10am to 5pm. Cost: Free!

USU UNDERGRAD ART EXHIBIT
The Caine College of the Arts at Utah State University Presents their Undergraduate Art Exhibition. The show includes student work in painting, sculpting, drawing, photo, printmaking, and ceramics. The show runs from Nov. 7 – Dec. 2nd from 10am to 5pm, in the USU FAV Gallery 102, and is open and free to the public. A reception will be held at the gallery, Nov. 18th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. where awards will be given. Come meet the artists, enjoy refreshment, and enjoy a spectacular exhibition of talent.

MOM OR DAD & ME ICE SKATING
Mom or Dad & Me sessions are held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Eccles Ice Center. Location: 2825 N. 200 East. ELLEN ECCLES THEATRE TOUR
Tours commence at 10:30 Am every Monday & Friday, except for show days & holidays. CVCA tours are free and take about 30 minutes. Groups larger than 15 should make reservations by calling the CVCA Ticket Office at 435-752-0026.

GOLDEN CORRAL FREE DINNER FOR MILITARY
Starting at 4p.m. on Monday, Golden Corral will offer a FREE ‘Thank You’ dinner to honor all military personnel who have served, or are currently serving, in the U.S. Military. No identification is required. We hope to see you there.

USU INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK FILM: MARIA FULL OF GRACE
International Film: Maria Full of Grace (Spanish title: María llena eres de gracia, lit. "Maria, you are full of grace") is a 2004 joint Colombian-American film, written and directed by Joshua Marston, who won the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay. Although the movie depicts rural life in Colombia, it was actually filmed in Ecuador. The title is a triple-entendre: a reference to Mary, the Roman Catholic figure; "grace" is a slang name for heroin; and "grace" could also be the name of the baby. Location: TSC, Auditorium.
