The 12th Annual Historic Downtown Logan "Parade of Gingerbread Homes" is a contest that displays gingerbread house entries at downtown businesses from December 2nd through December 30th. The public is invited to vote for their favorite Gingerbread House beginning December 2nd through December 16th. Each entry will have a chance to win one of three $100 Grand Prizes for the "Best of Show." KA-POW! GRAPHIC NOVEL EXHIBITION
The Merrill-Cazier Library is presenting Ka-pow! Graphic Novels, an exhibition on graphic novels used in academia. This holiday season the classic Dickens novel comes to life as Four Seasons Theatre Company presents the musical “A Christmas Carol.” This version of “A Christmas Carol” was originally performed at Madison Square Gardens in New York City. Music was written by Alan Menken, Academy Award winning composer of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. Not surprisingly, the music in “A Christmas Carol” has a very Disney-esque feel that will delight audiences and inspire them with the Spirit of Christmas. Bob Wallace and Phil Davis are nightclub entertainers whose plans are altered when they meet singing-sister act Betty and Judy. The men follow the sisters to Vermont, only to discover that the nearly-bankrupt lodge they were to perform at is owned by their former commanding general. After discovering that the general is in dire financial straits, the four entertainers secretly make plans to bail the general out with a big musical show, enlisting the aid of Bob and Phil's army buddies.
