KA-POW! GRAPHIC NOVEL EXHIBITION
The Merrill-Cazier Library is presenting Ka-pow! Graphic Novels, an exhibition on graphic novels used in academia. It will be shown in the atrium of the Merrill-Cazier Library from Oct. 24 through Dec. 10. A formal opening reception is Thursday, Nov. 10, at 4 p.m. in room 101 of the Library where several USU professors will discuss the use of graphic novels in their current classroom curriculum. STARTING SMALL ART EXHIBIT
Collected by old and new, 'Starting Small' showcases USU student collections curated by current students. The exhibit illustrates the diversity of art and its collection through the eyes of independent students. Four Utah State students, Trissta Lyman, Megan Mitchell, Brady Mathews and Megan Evans, are curating the exhibit and gathering artwork from other student’s private collections. An opening reception will be held Nov. 11 from 5-7 p.m. in the Tippetts Exhibit Hall. The exhibit runs Nov. 7 - Dec. 1 from 9am to 5pm. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

MARION HYDE EXHIBITION
Stop by and view the Marion Hyde Exhibit in the Tippetts Exhibit Hall, Chase Fine Arts Center, on the USU Campus. Exhibit runs from 11/05/2011 to 12/01/2011 open 10am to 5pm. Cost: Free!

USU UNDERGRAD ART EXHIBIT
The Caine College of the Arts at Utah State University Presents their Undergraduate Art Exhibition. The show includes student work in painting, sculpting, drawing, photo, printmaking, and ceramics. The show runs from Nov. 7 – Dec. 2nd from 10am to 5pm, in the USU FAV Gallery 102, and is open and free to the public. A reception will be held at the gallery, Nov. 18th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. where awards will be given. Come meet the artists, enjoy refreshment, and enjoy a spectacular exhibition of talent.

MIGHTY ME WORKSHOP

THE KIGER HOUR
Join us Thursday, November 17 at 5:05pm, for an hour of good food, good company, intellectual engagement, and a TimePiece by Damon Cann, Assistant Professor of Political Science. The TimePiece is entitled - A Political Scientist's Perspective on Running for Office. It will be held at Hamilton's Steak and Seafood in hte Accolade Event Room. The social hour begins at 5:15 p.m., the TimePiece begins at 6 p.m. The cost is $6.95 per person (plus tax and gratuituy) appetizer buffet which will be billed on an individual basis. Guests will also be able to order off the regular menu if desired. Damon Cann specializes in American politics. His book, Sharing the Wealth was awarded the Richard F. Fenno, Jr. Prize by the American Political Science Association for the best book published on legislative politics in 2008. His other work has appreared in a variety of other outlets. Cann holds Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in political science from Stony Brook University and a B.A. from Brigham Young University. Open To: Students Alumni Faculty Staff Public. DANCE UNITED CLUB
Each month the club focuses on teaching a different dance. October is Big Band Swing Dancing. November the club is looking at doing something like ballroom style, samba, or salsa.
