The 12th Annual Historic Downtown Logan "Parade of Gingerbread Homes" is a contest that displays gingerbread house entries at downtown businesses from December 2nd through December 30th. The public is invited to vote for their favorite Gingerbread House beginning December 2nd through December 16th. Each entry will have a chance to win one of three $100 Grand Prizes for the "Best of Show." ELK FESTIVAL KICK OFF @ HARDWARE RANCH
For 65 winters, Hardware Ranch Wildlife Management Area has been taking thousands of visitors on sleigh rides among hundreds of wild elk and history continues starting at 12 noon on Friday, Dec 16th. The next day, Saturday –Dec 17th,a new tradition begins as the annual Elk Festival (moves from Oct to December) opens at 10a.m. and runs thru 430p.m. There will be many fun and free family activities in addition to the regular sleigh rides and visitor center (open from 10a.m. to 2p.m.). Activities will focus on winter wildlife-watching opportunities and safety. Some activities will include Balloon Elk antlers, fish printing, animal track stamping, wildlife Christmas decorations and more.
