PARADE OF GINGERBREAD HOMES
The 12th Annual Historic Downtown Logan "Parade of Gingerbread Homes" is a contest that displays gingerbread house entries at downtown businesses from December 2nd through December 30th. The public is invited to vote for their favorite Gingerbread House beginning December 2nd through December 16th. Each entry will have a chance to win one of three $100 Grand Prizes for the "Best of Show." The gingerbread homes will be on display at Anderson's Seed and Garden, The Beehive Grill, The Book Table, Center Street Salon, Coppin's Hallmark, The Diamond Gallery, Indian Oven, Life Style Homes, Peewee's Sweets, SE Needham, The Sportsman, Stork Landing, and U&I Furniture. SIP 'N' SHOP

ELLEN ECCLES THEATRE TOUR

SENIORS BINGO
Hyrum Senior Citizen Center hosts Seniors Bingo every Friday from 12pm to 2pm. Location: 675 East Main Street Hyrum, UT 84319.

ELK FESTIVAL KICK OFF @ HARDWARE RANCH
For 65 winters, Hardware Ranch Wildlife Management Area has been taking thousands of visitors on sleigh rides among hundreds of wild elk and history continues starting at 12 noon on Friday, Dec 16th. The next day, Saturday –Dec 17th,a new tradition begins as the annual Elk Festival (moves from Oct to December) opens at 10a.m. and runs thru 430p.m. There will be many fun and free family activities in addition to the regular sleigh rides and visitor center (open from 10a.m. to 2p.m.). Activities will focus on winter wildlife-watching opportunities and safety. Some activities will include Balloon Elk antlers, fish printing, animal track stamping, wildlife Christmas decorations and more. Cost: Free for all activities except the sleigh rides, sleigh rides are $5 for those 9 years of age or older, or $3 for those 4 to 8 years old. For more information: (www.hardwareranch.com)

BACKCOUNTRY 101
The Utah Avalanche Center in Logan will be offering a Backcountry 101 Class on Friday Dec.16 from 6pm to 8pm and Sat. the 17th. Backcountry 101 is designed for those new to the back country and those wanting a ground- up refresher. Heavy on practical, usable skills and local information, this is a great place to start building your avalanche skills. You will leave this class understanding the basics of safely traveling in avalanche terrain and sporting a great foundation for learning more. A CHRISTMAS CAROL

The Heritage Theatre in Perry presents, A Christmas Carol, based on the classic tale by Charles Dickens, features Nick Velas as the determined miser, Ebenezer Scrooge. Performances begin November 26th and run each Monday, Friday and Saturday through December 17th (at 7:30 pm), with matinees December 3rd and 10th (at 2 pm). WHITE CHRISTMAS
The Old Barn Theatre in Collinston presents: White Christmas. White Christmas is a veritable warehouse full of oldie-but-goodie Irving Berlin tunes that are woven into the show's plotline.
Bob Wallace and Phil Davis are nightclub entertainers whose plans are altered when they meet singing-sister act Betty and Judy. The men follow the sisters to Vermont, only to discover that the nearly-bankrupt lodge they were to perform at is owned by their former commanding general. After discovering that the general is in dire financial straits, the four entertainers secretly make plans to bail the general out with a big musical show, enlisting the aid of Bob and Phil's army buddies. This heartwarming story along with classic musical numbers such as White Christmas, is a perfect way to get into the holiday spirit. December 2, 3, 5, 9, 10*, 10, 12, 16, 17*, 17.
