The 12th Annual Historic Downtown Logan "Parade of Gingerbread Homes" is a contest that displays gingerbread house entries at downtown businesses from December 2nd through December 30th. The public is invited to vote for their favorite Gingerbread House beginning December 2nd through December 16th. Each entry will have a chance to win one of three $100 Grand Prizes for the "Best of Show." CUB SCOUT DEN CHIEF CONFERENCE
The ‘Polar Express’ Den Chief Conference will be held Saturday from 830a.m. to 1230p.m. at the 22nd & 23rd Ward bldg. (640 N 200 East) in Smithfield. SHARE A LITTLE CHRISTMAS: PAJAMA PROJECT
On December 17th (10 am to 2pm) in Tremonton at Bear River High there will be the "Share a Little Christmas" Prajama project. Local dance groups and musicians will be performing. The goal is to collect as many new pajama's and books (or funds to buy them) for the local New Hope Crisis Center in Brigham City. We are hoping to get the word out to encourage as much participation as possible. For many of these children they have never owned a pair of PJ's. ELK FESTIVAL @ HARDWARE RANCH
For 65 winters, Hardware Ranch Wildlife Management Area has been taking thousands of visitors on sleigh rides among hundreds of wild elk and history continues this Saturday –Dec 17th, a new tradition begins as the annual Elk Festival (moves from Oct to December) opens at 10a.m. and runs to 2p.m. There will be many fun and free family activities. Activities will focus on winter wildlife-watching opportunities and safety. Some activities will include Balloon Elk antlers, fish printing, animal track stamping, wildlife Christmas decorations and more. DOWNTOWN CARRIAGE RIDES
Starting at 2pm on Saturday, carriage rides will begin taking guests on an old fashioned carriage ride looping around the Logan Tabernacle and the Logan Temple. The entire loop takes about 14 minutes.
