Things To Do In Logan: Saturday 12/31/2011 Events

There are fewer public New Year's Eve events around Cache Valley this year than there have been in the past, but still plenty of things to do in the Logan, UT area. If you are having your own celebration and want to ring in the New Year with a bang, the newly legalized aerial fireworks are available to sell at several valley grocery store as well as Merrill Christmas Tree farm on south highway 89/91. However you celebrate please remember to drink responsibly and arrange for your NYE designated driver ahead of time. See you in 2012!

DANCING AT ELITE HALL
This is a big-band swing dance complete with lessons before the dance! We're able to do this on an awesome spring loaded dance floor at Elite Hall. Everybody dresses up in best dress and we dance the night away. You're bound to see some great Lindy Hop and Charleston! Where: 83 W Main, Hyrum. UPR NEW YEAR'S EVE FUNDRAISER
You are invited to Utah Public Radio's New Year's Eve benefit celebration and fundraiser. Appetizer reception at 7:00 p.m. Dinner seating at 8:00 p.m. Guests will be welcomed at the door by Utah Public Radio’s General Manager, Victor Hogstrom, with a glass of champagne or sparkling cider. Dancing to the music of Phase Two featuring Mike Christiansen, Eric Nelson, Jeremy Nivison, and Travis Taylor. Tickets for the evening are $100 per person, of which $67 is a tax-deductible contribution to Utah Public Radio. Several dinner options, including vegetarian, are available along with a coffee and dessert buffet. Individual reservations will be accepted and tables for eight (8) people may be reserved. NEW YEARS EVE @ PINEER VALLEY LODGE
Come celebrate the new year with an evening of big band music by Tic Seamons Band. Refreshments will include shrimp, sweet and sour meatballs, lil' smokies, and desserts. 31+ SINGLES NEW YEAR'S EVE HOLLYWOOD STARS CELEBRATION
Enter into the world of glitz and glamour dressed as your favorite modest Hollywood Star (appropriate LDS attire). Awards will be given for the best costume, hairdo, overall look, dancing, etc. This extravaganza will include prizes, games, a special floorshow at 10:30, and a "Welcome in the New Year Breakfast" at midnight.
