Gingerbread House

Ok, so this is actually more of a castle. A Norman style castle to be exact.

One of the first things that came to mind when I saw it was the tower of London, with the drawbridge, outer wall and battlements and the central tower that is reminiscent of the White Tower.

This castle was created by my very talented cousin Danny, and it is currently on display in downtown Logan, UT, at Hickman Land Title Co. behind the reception area by the front door.

Some of the materials that Danny used were gingerbread, gum, royal icing, hard candy, cinnamon, licorice and gummy candy.

"It was a dark and foggy night as he traveled along the well worn road. Suddenly a castle loomed up in the mist. He rushed inside to save the damsel in distress from the evil dragon. As he swept her into his arms she said: 'Sorry Mario, the princess is in another castle.'"
