FREE AEROBICS WEEK

FORGOTTEN PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD
The exhibit, assembled by Special Collections and Archives Photograph Curator Daniel Davis, explores the history of the Union Pacific Railroad through photographs of A. J. Russell. The exhibit presents several of the well-known and idealized scenes of the railroad’s construction (1868-69) as photographed by Russell while under the commission of the Union Pacific Railroad. In addition to the well-known images, the exhibit presents examples of stereo-views taken by Russell and other photographers that offer a more complete and less sanitized version of the railroad’s history. A reception for the exhibit is planned Feb. 15 in conjunction with a lecture by Davis for the Friends of Merrill-Cazier Library. Where: The Merrill-Cazier Library. MARION R. HYDE EXHIBIT
This exhibition will highlight the most recent work of Utah State’s emeritus professor of art, Marion R. Hyde. Professor Hyde retired from the Department of Art in 2002 after more than 33 years of dedicated service that included 12 years as department head. Since retirement, Professor Hyde has been working in oil and pastel to create images that both represent and abstract the Utah landscape. We're pleased to present a wide selection of his best works to you during this opening exhibition of the 2012 season. An opening social will be held Jan. 18 at 4:30 p.m. in the Tippets Exhibit Hall. USU ART GUILD WAREHOUSE SHOW

Looking for something fun to do after school? Then come to the library for Teen Tuesdays. We'll be doing something fun every Tuesday at 4:00 pm. On those rare occasions when there are five tuesdays in a month, we'll take advantage of the opportunity and ask you for your valuable opinions and ideas! USU ASCE SOCIAL
ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) Club is having a social Tues. January 31 at 7 p.m. on the second floor of the ENGR building. If you are interested in studying Civil Engineering and getting involved, then come join us for a night of classic video games and food!

OLD SKOOL SKATE NIGHT
The Cache Valley Fun Park hosts Old Skool Skate Night! It starts at 9pm -11 pm. This day is also $2 Tuesday, so any activity this day costs only $2! Befriending the Fun Park on Facebook can give you great deals (especially on Old Skool Night) if you check their page before heading in.
