Local Business Of The Week: Knit Unique

This week is the inaugural post in my new series about the best local Cache Valley Businesses you probably haven't been to yet!

To steal a line from HIMYM...

Have ya met: Knit Unique?

Knit Unique is a fiber arts boutique. It says so on the front of their building, see?

What does a fiber arts boutique sell? Just about everything you would need to knit, crochet, needlepoint, and spin. And, NO, I'm not talking about spin class at the gym, I'm talking about spinning wheel kind of spinning.

They offer yarn, thread, tools, books, expert advice, classes, private lessons, examples of finished pieces, and plenty of cozy space to sit and work on your projects.

Knit Unique is located in one of the historic buildings downtown, next to the Bluebird Restaurant, in the former Red Rooster Quilts location (I still remember it as the dark and musty antique book shop that I would get lost in at least once a month).

Downstairs in the front you'll find tons of yarn and their window display.

Upstairs is the spinning wheel area and the owner's office.

Downstairs in the back you'll find the tools and books, some yarn, a kitchenette, the bathroom, and there are places to sit and work on your individual project.

The building is warm, bright, and very inviting...in fact I can also say that about the staff! I have failed at just about every handicraft in the book but this place makes me want to redouble my efforts to learn to knit again.

Knit Unique is located at 27 N Main, Logan. There is on street parking out front and lot parking in the rear with entrances on both sides of the building. Business hours are 10am to 6pm Monday through Saturday. You can reach them by phone at 435.797.2616.

For a complete list of classes and to learn more about this great store please their website at www.knituniquelogan.com or stop by any time and talk to the friendly staff or just browse around.
