Just Don't Ask

Last Friday I made the best darn hot chocolate for my co-workers.  We were in the middle of winter storm Gandolf and needed something to help sustain us.  People have told me this recipes is wicked, decadent, sinful, indulgent, devilish, and divine.

Whatever you call it, it is good, really really good.  It is also really really rib sticking.  And not just rib sticking, apparently it is tummy, butt, and thighs sticking too.  Everyone kept making jokes about having to go for a run or go work out after drinking this hot chocolate.  A few of them kept saying they shouldn't drink it, but that it was too good to pass up.

None of us thought this was a healthy treat, but I don't think any of us realized just what a calorie bomb it really was.  Being my usual inquisitive self I decided to plug the recipe into the myplate app and see what the nutrition break down was for an 8 oz serving.  The answer was that this beverage was amazingly tasty but also loaded with saturated fat and calories.  Here are the results:

I think the moral of this story is: Don't ask questions that you don't really want to know the answers to.  Right?
