Meet Aurora

UPDATE: Aurora has found a new home, thanks to everyone who emailed with inquiries.

I spent this afternoon picking up and getting to know Aurora.

Aurora is a 4 year old female Great Pyrenees who needs a new home.  Her current people are moving and can't take her with them.

I am fostering her until a new permanent home can be found.  She was adopted by her current owner from the Cache Humane Society here in Logan.  All her vet records are available upon adoption.

She is an outside dog but her owners kept her inside their garage during the winter and they say that she is potty trained for the garage.

She is great with kids and very family friendly.  She is a large dog and very powerful, but she walks easily on a loose leash and doesn't pull.

She also seems to be very intelligent and I have been doing some treat training with her and have already taught her sit, lay down, stand, and sit/stay.

Aurora has a very gentle and loving personality but gets bored easily.  She can jump low to moderate size fences, but according to her owners always returns home.

They also said that she will dig if left alone too long.  Like all dogs she needs regular exercise, attention, and training to keep her healthy, happy, an obedient.

The owners are asking a modest adoption fee for her.  They want to find her a loving home with a good family.

The person who is helping coordinate Aurora's adoption has a potential forever home lined up, but it is tentative.  If you are in the Cache Valley area and are looking for a wonderful family dog, leave your email address in a comment below and we will contact you.
