Things to do in Cache Valley this week

Well hello there strangers, no, I'm not dead...yet.

There are a ton of events going on  in and around the valley this week and in the next few weeks.  If you are looking for entertainment you should definitely check out this list.

Beaver Mountain Music Festival: http://www.skithebeav.com/c/news--events/latest-news/music-festival-
August 21-23 at Beaver Mountain ski area in Logan Canyon.  In addition to great music they will have kids activities, vendors, and food.  Check out the website for more information.

1st Annual Extreme Downhill Barbie Jeep Race: WARNING, I just heard about this event today so I don't know much about it.  Adults racing plastic barbie jeeps downhill to raise money for charity...sure, why not?   You can find more information here.

USU Football Family Fun Day & Scrimmage.  Saturday August 22nd there is a free family fun day and USU football scrimmage at Maverick Stadium in Logan, starting at 5pm.

Paradise Trout & Berry Days.   August 22-29, you can take a look at my previous posts about it here and here.  They have a fundraiser breakfast from 7-10am.  At 10:30am they start the valley's shortest parade.  After that there are festivities in the town park which include the famous trout scramble.  See the flyer below for dates and times.

River Heights Apple Days:  August 29th, watch their website for more info if you are a River Heights resident.  Apparently (according to Suzanne Karren, the Apple Days rep) unlike other valley town festivals which welcome everyone with open arms regardless of where they reside, they ONLY want River heights residents or past residents to participate in Apple days activities (although they accept sponsors, vendors, and parade entries from other cities).  River Heights, least friendly town in the valley.  So unless you live there, I'd totally skip this one and anything having to do with this town altogether.

Live Music at GGG Farm.  September 5th come listen to live music by HillKat Johnson from 7 to 9pm, tickets are $10.  The Carriage House Kitchen at the farm will also be open for a special Saturday night dinner, check GGG Farm website for more information.

Wellsville City Founders Days: Labor Day weekend, watch their website for more info.
