Portrait Project - Part 7

Emily was invited to participate in the Portrait Project by our mutual friend.  She and I had never met before and only chatted a few times online before I drove out to her farm at the crack of dawn on a bright October morning last year.  I'm always amazed when people not only get up before sunrise but do so managing to look amazing and fresh faced, Emily is one of these people.  I would happily photograph her again, she was so great to work with!  Here are a few of her best shots.

GGG Farm - Christmas Day Buffet

 Here's the latest news from the owners of Gibbons Green Gate Farm:
"Dear Friends,
The Carriage House Kitchen at Gibbons' Green Gate Farm is presenting
"A Grand Buffet on Christmas Day"

- The KEY to a Country Christmas
    "My grandma says she sometimes dreams
    of Christmas long ago,
    When sleighs with silver bells ran fast
    Across the glistening snow;
    And people came from near and far,
    The bitter cold defied,
    To reach the farm and share with them
    The joys of Christmastide.

    I think that Grandma likes to slip
    into the long ago-
    A little girl who hears again
    Sleighbells in the snow;
    A little girl whose heart beats fast,
    Who flings a great door wide
    To welcome those who came to share
    The joys of Christmastide."
(From "Long Ago" by Loretta B. Buckley)

Tickets for the Christmas Day Buffet are available on our homepage gggfarm.com

Since Christmas is on Friday, a regular breakfast day, we decided to
have a "Grand Buffet on Christmas Day". This is a reservation event
and we will return the next day -Saturday- to our regular "Walk-in"
breakfast. The following Friday, New Year's Day, We will be open for
our regular walk-in breakfast.

We will not have Friday night dinners in December because of party
reservations. We will begin our Friday night dinners again in January.

Also check our great holiday pricing on Beef and Lamb.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Jared, Rachel and Ann Gibbons"

Last year I reserved the farm to host a Hanukkah party, since I don't have room at my house to host everyone that I wanted to invite.  GGG Farm was amazing to host at!  Their fully stocked professional kitchen made food prep and clean up a snap, they had the Carriage House dining room decorated for the holidays, the fireplace going, and even had holiday music playing for us so we didn't have to worry about a playlist.  We had such a great time that I'm reserving it again for another Hanukkah party this year.  Check out their website if you are interested in booking the Carriage House for your holiday party.  Here are a couple photos from last year's celebration.
